Service for Peace Korea

Joo Hyun-Lip is from Goseong County, Gangwon Province. Goseong county was divided into two, just as the Korean peninsula. Therefore, he is pursuing a regional project of small reunification of northern Geseong and southern Geoseng. In 2005, he served as a volunteer director for the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Korea. Also, he served Social Design Institute as a senior researcher.
As the head of projects about North Korea at Service For Peace Foundation, he is pushing forward with plans to substitute furnaces with briquette boilers to conserve forests in Geseong and to support residents. As the producer of “Log Festival (about reunification)”, he founded “Like Birds in Evergreen Forest Organization”, conducting a nation-wide campaign for Evergreen Forest for our next generation in the Unified Korea.
